The Space

The McAllister sleeps 10 with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom is located on the first floor with a spa-like master bathroom connected. The other two bedrooms are on the second level with one of the bedrooms having two queen beds and a full bathroom that serves all guests sleeping upstairs. Amenities for your enjoyment include a 6-person sauna, outdoor putting green, foosball table, fully stocked coffee bar, outdoor grilling space and firepit with complementary firewood on site. In the winter, guest will enjoy the radiant in-floor heat in addition to the cozy indoor fireplace.

The McAllister is placed in the perfect location for convenience to all your adventures within Cook County. Located on Ski Hill Road, our neighbors are Legendary North Shore attractions including Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Mountains and everything trails including the Superior Hiking Trial, Gitchi-Gami State Trail and the Cook County snowmobile trail system. Oh... and that big lake that they call Superior.

From the very beginning we were hooked - the fresh air, the rugged beauty of the North Shore, the endless trails and ski runs, and those quiet, memory-making moments around the fire. Over the years, this place has become our family's getaway where we can enjoy all of our favorite outdoor adventures. That's why we built the McAllister - not just as a vacation home, but as a place where you can write your own North Shore story. Every detail was planned with your ideal vacation stay in mind. The design, matched with the location, blend laid back luxury with easy access to everything we love most about this outdoor paradise. Whether you're hitting the slopes, hiking the Superior Trail, or just sipping coffee in the refreshing North Shore air, we hope you'll feel both inspired and at home. ***Notice: Neighborhood Buzz

Our charming neighborhood is a popular place and because of that popularity, the only vacant lot near us (next door) is currently under construction. Construction impacts will be limited to working hours during the week which means our guests will be able to explore during the day and return to peace and quiet during the evening. We believe in being transparent and want our guests to be aware of these potential impacts. We also want our guess to know that we have decided to adjust our base price down $100 per night during this period meaning it is a great opportunity for an unforgettable stay at an unbeatable value! On top of the reduced base price, we have included extras in your welcome package to ensure you have a memorable stay.

Q: Are pets allowed? A: We love furry friends but we do not allow pets at the McAllister Q: What is the cancellation policy through the direct booking website? A: We allow a full refund for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the reservation. Cancellations within 14 days of the reservation will not be refundable. Q: How close are you to the slopes? A: Less than a two-minute drive from Lutsen Mountains — your skis won’t even have time to get cold.
