The main floor consists of a half bath connected to the mudroom as you walk in the main door. As you walk through the mudroom you quickly enter the open concept kitchen, dining and main floor living room area where you will find a beautiful fully stocked kitchen, a fully stocked coffee bar, a stone fireplace and in the winter heated floors that will keep you feeling cozy during ski season.
The show-stoppers of the main floor are the windows that surround you and make you that feel like you are in luxury while at the same time always providing that feeling of being amongst the trees Northern Minnesota wilderness.
From the living room either walk through the french doors to the outdoor living space and putting green or out the sliding door to the sauna.
Off the main living space, is the master bedroom, walk in closet and master bathroom with a full shower and separate soaking bath.
Walk up the stairs to the second floor loft which hosts the foosball table and sleeper sofa. A bedroom with a queen bed and closet and a third bedroom with two queen beds finish out the sleeping areas upstairs. A full bathroom with a beautiful shower and double sinks serves both upstairs bedrooms.
You can go even higher from here as there is a very sturdy ships ladder that takes you to a kids hang out area with a small tv and comfy seating.
It is located in quite possibly the most convenient area on the north shore. On Hole #4 of Superior National Golf Course and walking distance to the clubhouse and first tee box. A very short walk to both the North Shore Winery and the Gitchi-Gami State Trail. 1.3 miles from the ticket booth at Lutsen Mountains which includes the Alpine Alide, The Gondola, Mogel's Bar and Restaurant and Papa Charlies. If you are a ride snowmobiles, we are less than a quarter mile from the trail and if you a cross-country skier we are less than a mile from those as well.
We are walking distance to Lake Superior and in the winter, you will have some views of the lake from the second story loft. We are almost directly in-between two beautiful state parks being the Temperance River State Park and Cascade River State Park both of which are about a 10 to 12 minute drive.
***Please note that the very top kids area is not approved for sleeping.
***Guests should also know there are about 4-5 steps from the driveway up to the main door.
The guests can use all areas of the home with the exception of the maintenance and storage closets which are locked.
If anything is needed during the stay, please message the hosts through the booking platform. You can also text the hosts whose phone number is listed in the welcome guide located at the home.
The McAllister is located in the highly sought after Heritage neighborhood which surrounds Superior National Golf Course, is walking distance to the North Shore Winery, Gitchi-Gami Trail, Snowmobile trails and the Superior National Golf Course Clubhouse/Bar and Grill.
***We have been informed by our neighbor that construction will take place on our neighboring lot during daytime hours. Our home remains fully private, with added measures in place to ensure a positive guest experience. Impacts will be limited to the daytime hours during the week. Additionally, we are offering a special return stay discount for all our guests who stay with us during the neighbor's construction period.
***We've partnered with a top North Shore Private Dining to offer a private, in-home dining experience for guests staying 4+ nights. Work with Chef Taylor to build your meal made with local ingredients, right in the comfort of your vacation home. For those who stay 5+ consecutive nights we'll cover the first $200 towards the meal if you decide to book. Available by request and based on availability. This service is completely optional but one that could make one of your nights one that will be tough to forget!
